Signage Committee: Our Signage Committee Director is Al Knowlton ( - Aknowl@aol.com) . Remember that Sign ads are a very important part of our associations fundraising efforts. You can earn a $100.00 credit towards your fundrasing quota for each sign ad you sell!!! Share the information with all business owners you know. You never know who is looking to help out kids, and advertise at the same time.
Fundraising Committee: Our Fundraising Committee Director is Lisa Skinner ( - llskinner@j-ots.com). We are always looking for different fundraising ideas!! We will have three main fundraisers for the 2010-2011 season. They will be Gun/Cash Raffle Tickets -Summer, Wreath/Greenery Sales - Fall, and Food Sales -After the Holidays. If you have any ideas or suggestions please let us know.
Building and Grounds Committee: We are always looking for any adults willing to help on small projects that maintain or improve our facility. If you have any interest in these areas please contact any one of your board members. This is one of many ways you can complete some of your required service hours before next season even starts.
Website: Please be sure to periodically check our website calendar for any summer Youth Hockey activities. Also, during the hockey season, the most recent changes to your team’s game schedule will be posted. As experienced hockey parents know, games may be added to or deleted from the original game schedule throughout the season.
Parents, are you looking for some ways to complete your 25 service hours during the hockey season? Will you be taking your child to open skate? Please consider helping during open skate by collecting admission fees at the door or filling in at the concession stand on a Friday night, 7 – 9 PM. Also, we are looking for volunteers from each level to learn how to install ice in October, resurface the ice with our Zamboni and run the scoreboard. We can hold training sessions for anyone interested during the season as requested. These activities are very easy to learn and you’ll have some fun at the same time. After all, how many Moms or Dads can say they’ve driven a Zamboni? Please contact your Team Manager if you have an interest in any of these activities.
